Yogasūtra of Patañjali | Viniyoga with Dr Kausthub Desikachar

Dr. Kausthub Desikachar is the current lineage holder of the Viniyoga® tradition worldwide. He succeeds his father TKV Desikachar, and his grandfather T Krishnamacharya. His objectives include the sharing of the authentic teachings of Yoga to the modern era, as well as building bridges between different healing modalities to promote physical, emotional social and spiritual health.

I.19 - bhava-pratyayaḥ videha-prakṛtilayānām

Inevitably, because of the many milliosn who share the world with us,

There are those born into the state of Yoga. [This] quality [is] innate for those without gross physical bodies and for those who are absorbed into the material world awaiting rebirth.

But, these are rare persons who cannot and should not be emulated. Indeed, some may succumb to worldly influences and lose their superior qualities.
