Prāṇa (the conscious breath) is one intangible element in every human being connects the domains of body, mind, vital energy and spirit. The power of breath and, therefore of Prāṇayāma practice can thus never be underestimated, as it works profoundly on all these levels of human existence.

A correct Prāṇayāma practice can, therefore, increase longevity and your energy levels in daily life. It can also be a profound tool in calming mental and emotional agitation, decreasing imbalances on any level, and ultimately helping you to connect with the Puruṣa, the spiritual anchor in the heart. Also in these pandemic times, Prāṇāyāma will be quite helpful in building your immunity and vitality and transforming your life in a positive manner.

This is why, according to traditional Yogi-s, Prāṇayāma is considered the most important limb of Yoga. Yet, in our contemporary times, this fourth limb of Yoga is often ignored or not given the importance it deserves and therefore is not often covered in depth in most training programs and practice classes.

Viniyoga® offers you the best and most complete Prāṇāyāma training program that presents the classical theory, practice and self-observation guidelines on Prāṇayāma for serious students and practitioners to explore this topic in depth.

This exhaustive certification program in the Viniyoga tradition of T Krishnamacharya & TKV Desikachar will offer in-depth training in various subjects and aspects of Pranayama so that graduates have a practical and philosophical understanding of its principles and teachings. It will include lectures, practice sessions, home practice, homework and assignments.

This training is designed in such a manner that serious Yoga practitioners, even those who have learnt and practised Prāṇāyāma for a long time, will be able to discover new life in the practice. Prāṇāyāma-s of all levels will be explored and practised in a progressive manner. It will also be beneficial to Yoga Teachers to understand how classical Prāṇāyāma needs to be introduced in an appropriate and progressive manner. Successful graduates will be issued a Viniyoga® Pranayama Teacher Certification.
