Yogasūtra II.3 - avidyā-asmitā-rāga-dveşa-abhiniveśāḥ kleśāḥ
We are all inherently capable of clear perception. But something or other frequently seems to get in the way. What are the sources of these distractions?
The sources of affliction are misapprehension, false identity, excessive desire, unreasonable dislikes and insecurity.
These five are called the Kleśa-s, for they are the sources of our afflictions.
