Yogasūtra II.8 - duḥkha-anuśayī dveṣaḥ

Unreasonable dislike is clinging to [a remembered or anticipated] suffering.

Unreasonable dislike (Dveṣa) continues to persist even after the circumstances that caused the unpleasant experience have changed. Dveṣa manifests in different ways as rejection, disgust, hatred, racism, sexism, fanaticism and more.
